The Planet View

Back to Manual page

Description

This window is the most important of Nautix: Through it you command all of your fellows and your Avatar do perform actions. You can see how fast the other players succeed in building large cities, while you seem to sleep - or the other way around.

There are two different predefined views: A complete view of the Planet, and the battlefield-like perspective. You can switch between you user view and the two predefined ones with the numblock Enter key.

Interactivity

How to play? Use mouse and keyboard to control this window. When moving the mouse while pressing the right button, the Planet moves around. It also turns around when pressing the cursor keys. Finally it can scale, use the numblock + and - keys for that.

For selecting a single unit, just click on it with the left button. Or hold it down and drag the mouse over the Planet surface, then a transparent 3D layer appears and covers all units that will be selected. Selected units can be Avatars and fellows, both belonging to you or your Clan (you cannot select more than one enemy unit), and have a 3D outline around it, which lightens them a bit. The reason it that you can then easily recognize the selected units and give them commands: Click on the ground, and they will move there; click at an enemy, and they will attack it.

You can add fellows to the selected ones by holding down the ctrl key and clicking on them, otherwise the previous selected fellows lose their selection.
