Planets:
The three-dimensional levels for Nautix. The coordinate system used by the core 3D engine allows flat levels as well, but who wants them today? The earth is round, as are other planets too, and when 3D acceleration on Linux systems isn't a problem anymore, large planets (what about 1024x1024 fields?) give a complete new gaming feeling. The planets are provided at the Nautix homepage. They can appear in different colours, resolutions and (depending on the zoom level) sizes.

Avatars:
Every players is representated by an Avatar in the game. If he dies, the game is over. But Nautix is not only a character-based game: The Avatar will learn to create dwarfs, trolls and other little fighters which can be grouped and sent to the enemies. The player as Avatar also controls the construction of buildings, strategical relations and diplomacy, and he is responsible for organizing food and items to get more power.
